We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to support daily production at Mountain Bee Kombucha. This is an entry-level, hands-on role essential to keeping our production floor running smoothly, from prepping ingredients and brewing batches to packing orders and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. You will work closely with the Production Associate, following established recipes, SOPs, and hygiene protocols to ensure every batch meets our quality standards. A great starting point for anyone looking to build a career in craft food and beverage production.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Brewing Support
- Follow SOPs accurately for brewing, fermentation, and flavouring preparation
- Prepare ingredients and raw materials ahead of each production run
- Assist the Production Associate in executing the daily brewing schedule
Hygiene & Sanitation
- Clean and sanitise equipment, vessels, and work surfaces before and after each use
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards across the production floor at all times
- Keep tools, equipment, and workstations production-ready throughout the day
Packing & Order Fulfilment
- Assist with packing finished goods accurately and efficiently
- Support shipping and dispatch in line with customer and distributor requirements
Storage & Materials Handling
- Handle raw materials, packaging, and finished goods with care
- Follow correct storage protocols for ingredients and materials
Skills & Requirements
- No prior experience required; a willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully is what matters most
- Physically capable of lifting up to 20kg and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to cleanliness, detail, and process consistency
- Punctual, dependable, and comfortable working in a structured production environment
